Camelot Home Inspection Services specializes in the pre-purchase and pre-sale evaluation of single and multi-family residential properties on the CA Central Coast. We inspect single family homes, condominiums, townhomes, duplexes, triplexes, four-plexes, manufactured homes, modular homes, and small commercial properties.
Established in 1994, Camelot Home Inspection Services is owned and operated by Martin Hewitt, a certified Master inspector member of the California Real Estate Inspection Assn. and a Certified inspector member of the American Society of Home Inspectors with over 27 years of home inspection experience. In California, where there is no licensing or regulation of home inspectors of any kind, dual certification with ASHI and CREIA demonstrates a dedication to ethics, education and service above and beyond the norm. Martin is currently the onlyCertified ASHI member and Master CREIA Inspector on the Central Coast. He has personally performed over 6,500 inspections. Martin is proud to be associated with these prestigious and credible home inspection associations, and is equally proud to not be a member of the InterNachi online certification mill.
At Camelot, we strive to provide every home buyer with a level of service that matches the significance of the purchase they are about to make. Be it a condo, manufactured home, or mega-mansion, we inspect every home as if we were buying it ourselves. With every home inspection comes 27 years of education, training and professional experience. Martin will share this knowledge with you to help ensure that your investment decision is an informed one.
To avoid any perceived conflict of interest, and because State laws prohibit it, Camelot cannot and will not perform any corrective or repair work on homes that we inspect. Be very wary of those home inspectors that do and/or who are aligned with- or aggressively refer you to- local contractors, tradespersons, or repair quote services. Camelot Home Inspection Services is not aligned or affiliated with C.A.R. or any real estate companies or brokerage firms. When you hire us, we go to work for you— with only your best interests in mind. Period.
However, we can certainly appreciate a home buyer's hesitancy in hiring an inexperienced or unqualified home inspector referred to them by an unfamiliar real estate agent. For this reason, and as our schedule permits, we are open to traveling outside of our 'normal' service area, thus guaranteeing you an impartial and unbiased home inspection. These areas include the Central Coast communities in and around Santa Barbara County, including Santa Barbara,
